IVF and Fertility

Dr Friebe is a practicing consultant with Life Fertility Clinic and offers a full range of infertility services. Initial consultation take place at Dr Friebe's consulting rooms at North West Private Hospital.

Operation and procedures can be performed at North West Private Hospital, St Andrews War Memorial Hospital or  Life Fertility Clinic (Astor Terrace, Spring Hill) depending on which is more convenient for the patient.

Services offered in conjunction with Life Fertility Clinic include :

• Full investigation for female and male causes of infertility, including laparoscopy, ultrasound and epididymal/testicular biopsy if indicated
  Controlled clomid ovarian stimulation and follicle tracking
• Ovidrel trigger injections and intrauterine insemination
• IVF
• ICSI

On Call Arrangements

Currently, Jamie provides his own cover for his patients from 6am Monday until 12pm Friday. From 12pm Friday until 6am Monday (i.e. weekends), there is an arrangement between the eight consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologists at North West Private Hospital to share the weekend call on a one-in-eight-week basis. Generally about 10% of Jamie’s obstetric patients will be delivered on a weekend by an alternative consultant when Jamie is not on call.

Practice Midwife

Currently, Jamie does not have a dedicated practice midwife. He hopes to have a midwife working with him to see pregnant patients in late 2011/early 2012.
